Jackson,
It feels like I just got done writing your 6 month post....oh, wait, I did just get done doing that! Ooops! Well, this one will be short and sweet, filled with lots of pictures then. =)
Your biggest accomplishment this month, as far as your Daddy and I are concerned, was sleeping through the night. You have never been a great sleeper. When I went back to work after 3 months, you were still up and down 3 times a night and naps were few and far between. Months 4 and 5 went by pretty much the same, but then it all fell into place. Around the 6 month mark we started noticing a difference in your sleep habits. You have a pretty good routine now. You are in bed around 7 or 8pm and sleep until 6am. 8-10 hours of straight sleep is your norm, which means most times we get 6 or 8hrs! You then eat breakfast, play, play, play, then are ready for a bottle and a nap around 10:30 or 11. Your aftternoon nap is normally about 1.5-2hrs, then its up again for more play and lunch, more play and a nap again about 4pm for about an hour. Dinner time is pretty exciting and messy these days. After dinner, its more play, bathtime, read a few books, and a bottle and bedtime.
You love tip-toeing along behind your walker. You are getting pretty brave, letting go of it to hold onto the coffee table or the couch. You have also started letting go completely, most times you'll fall right on your butt, but now and then you concentrate really hard and you can balance yourself to stand for 5 or 6 seconds.
You have also started a new sound, I don't know where you picked it up, but you do it repetatively and it's adorable! It sounds like the POP at the end of "snap-crackle-pop". You also have picked up on -ba and occasionally -da or -ma. -Ma normally comes out when you are upset or getting impatient for food, which in turn just makes me laugh!
One more thing I have enjoyed alot this month is that you have started climbing up on my lap when I'm sitting on the floor or reaching up to me to be held. I L.O.V.E. the affection little man, I can't get enough!
Have a great month baby boy!
Love, Mama
